The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts

The museum is situated in the Blount Cultural Park off of Woodmere Road. With rolling land, a lake & ducks the outside is beautiful & peaceful. When you step through the doors you discover a world-class collection of art, both in the permanent & temporary galleries. There is a hands-on space called ARTWORKS for children of all ages, The permanent collection includes examples of 19th- and 20th-century American paintings and sculpture, Southern regional art, Old Master prints and decorative arts, a cafe that served delicious lunches & a gift shop the features art from regional artists. The Montgomery Symphony Orchestra

The Montgomery Symphony Orchestra is one of the best Things to Do in Alabama and it is a group based gathering committed to giving traditional music projects of the most noteworthy quality with the support of nearby beginner artists. The MSO was founded in 1946-47. Chester J. Petranek spearheaded the effort to found the orchestra by persuading Montgomery County Junior College (now Montgomery College) and the Department of Adult Education of the Montgomery County Public Schools to take on the project. The goal was to promote cultural development in the county by giving its citizens good music without cost. John Riggleman briefly served as the first music director.

Montgomery Chamber Music Organization

MCMO is governed by an all-volunteer board. The organization receives no city, state or federal funding for operating or concert expenses. The Board of MCMO is dedicated to extending the joy of chamber music to a growing and diverse audience. There are challenges and inherent heavy financial costs in offering the greatest musical talent available. Each show will feature splendid artists in remarkable exhibitions of music that has excited groups of onlookers throughout the decades. The music will enrich you and will extend the energy about the unprecedented abilities of the composers and the performers.
